Embden contains seven bodies of water, comprising approximately 2,200 acres: Black Hill Pond, Boynton Pond, Embden Pond, Fahi Pond, Hancock Pond, Mud Pond, and Sandy Pond. Our current population is estimated to be about 939 year-round citizens, and that number nearly doubles when non-residents arrive to spend the summer months at their camps and cottages. A community with natural beauty and rich in history, Embden was incorporated in 1804. Those of us who live here are proud of our history and optimistic about our future.
